Thanks for visiting my page.  I’m Jamie and I live on the South Coast of England.  Having lived in London for nearly ten years, and Germany for five, I couldn’t resist the lure of living back by the sea.  I hope the text below gives you an insight into who I am.

I love being outdoors, especially when the sun is shining.  Although my family is now grown up, we still enjoy a cycle ride, or trip away together.  I particularly enjoy walking, and love a challenge, I recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with my cousin.

Self development is key to my continued personal growth, I try to consume as many books and podcasts as I can.  In my later years I have realised that money is better spent on experiences than objects.

I’m fortunate enough to have visited over 70 countries, but still yearn to visit more. Initially many of the places I have visited were on business trips, this gave me a taste for spending time with locals, away from the tourists. I’m often asked what my favourite country is, which is incredibly difficult to answer, but love trying. For me it’s a fascinating way to learn, to experience different cultures, beliefs, even food!

Although I try to get away, I’m still pulled towards some objects…. cars. I have a small collection, nothing extravagant, but they all mean something to me in different ways. I drove a Lancia, as old as me, from Sardinia to England. Of course it broke down on the way, meaning I had to make the trip from Southern France to home in a day. Some are in various states of restoration, with an Alfa Romeo restomod being remade to my exact specification.

I have over twenty years experience in running businesses, having started, and sold a variety of companies from IT to education. With extensive involvement in running teams I am also kaizen trained and enjoy optimising processes and production. I have a track record of generating growth. Whilst working in international marketing I was part of a team that drove a global brand to increase volume by 40% for three consecutive years in a declining market.

I’m now looking for business acquisition and investment opportunities.
